Convenient Access from Forest Grove
Everglow Dental is about 26 minutes east of downtown Forest Grove, at our office on SW Tualatin Valley Highway in Aloha. If you want a dentist Forest Grove, OR students, university staff and longtime residents can reach on one road, OR 8 carries you the whole way. Dr. Kristy Lin and our team see patients Monday through Thursday, with the first appointments at 8 AM.
Begin at the Forest Grove City Library on Pacific Ave, which is OR 8 through downtown. The highway jogs onto Ash St and 19th Ave before returning to Pacific Ave heading east, then becomes Baseline St through Cornelius. In downtown Hillsboro, eastbound OR 8 runs along Oak St, and after that it is Tualatin Valley Highway all the way to 20285 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy, Aloha, OR 97003. The full trip is about 11.8 miles, and you can see the office on Google Maps before you set out.
A Forest Grove Connection on Our Team
Pacific University's Forest Grove campus brings students, faculty and staff to town, and the university describes itself as the only comprehensive university in Washington County. Our registered dental hygienist Catherine trained at Pacific University before joining Everglow Dental in 2026, so the campus is part of our team's story as well. Students, faculty and university staff who need a cleaning can take an 8 AM slot and be back in Forest Grove well before an afternoon class.
Beyond campus, Forest Grove started as a small farm town and today is largely a commuter town within the Portland metro area. Lincoln Park on Main St has ball fields, a BMX course, a skate park, a track and a walking path, while Rogers Park's Anna & Abby's Yard offers inclusive play equipment. A little farther out, Fernhill Wetlands sits near where Gales Creek meets the Tualatin River, and Hagg Lake in the Coast Range foothills offers fishing, boating and trails.
Making Each Forest Grove Visit Count
Forest Grove is the farthest community on our list by drive time, so we try to make every appointment productive. A first visit can combine a cleaning, an exam and x-rays, and Dr. Lin reviews the images with you on the treatment-room TV so you leave knowing exactly where things stand. When a crown is needed, CEREC lets her design and place many of them in a single appointment instead of two, using a digital scanner in place of messy impression trays.
If a back tooth is causing trouble, an extraction or root canal can often be handled right in our office. For whitening at your own pace, custom take-home trays let you brighten at home between visits. Every recommendation comes with a clear explanation and no sales pitch, so you decide what fits your budget and your calendar.
If it has been a while since your last cleaning, there is no lecture waiting for you here. Our hygienists start where you are, clear away the buildup that has collected and help you set up a home routine that fits late study nights or early shifts. Dr. Lin then checks for decay or gum changes, and you see the findings on screen before any plan is made.
Commuters heading east on TV Highway can tuck a checkup into the start of a workday, since our earliest appointments begin at 8 AM and the office closes at 5 PM. We are closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so booking a Monday-to-Thursday morning a few weeks out gives you the most choice. Distance should never stop you from calling about a broken tooth or sudden swelling, though: our team works hard to provide timely care for urgent problems.

Frequently Asked Questions
How far is Everglow Dental from Forest Grove, and how do I get there?
Everglow Dental is about 11.8 miles from the Forest Grove City Library, a drive of around 26 minutes. You stay on OR 8 the entire way, following Pacific Ave and Baseline St through Cornelius, Oak St through downtown Hillsboro, and then TV Highway. That makes us a dentist Forest Grove, OR drivers can find without using a single freeway.
Can students without insurance afford regular cleanings?
Yes, there are two simple paths. New patients without insurance can start with our $95 Cleaning, Exam & X-Ray, offered in absence of periodontal disease, with any needed deep cleaning billed separately. After that, the Adult membership at $36 a month covers two exams, two regular cleanings and all required x-rays each year.
Can I whiten my teeth at home?
Yes, with custom take-home trays made to fit your teeth. You wear them with a whitening gel on your own schedule, and the results build gradually. Dr. Lin checks your teeth first, since whitening does not change the color of crowns or fillings, and in-office whitening is available if you would rather finish in one visit.
Do I need a root canal if my tooth is cracked?
Not always; it depends on how deep the crack goes. A crack limited to the outer tooth may need only a crown, while one that reaches the nerve usually calls for root canal therapy before the crown. Dr. Lin checks your bite, temperature response and x-rays, and CBCT imaging can add detail when needed.
Can I have a tooth pulled at your office?
Yes, tooth extractions are part of the oral surgery care Dr. Lin provides here. She reviews x-rays first, and when an implant will replace the tooth, bone grafting can sometimes be done to prepare the site. Oral sedation may be available if you feel anxious about the procedure, with clear instructions provided beforehand.
